The Seasons of Love


I will love you in the Spring,
when all is fresh and new.
When the green sprouts of new life
and new romance appear

I will love you in the Summer
with it's hot and sultry nights.
As our love reaches the rolling boil
of passion, intrigue and lust.

I will love you in the Autumn
when the nights grow long and the days grow short
As the leaves turn from green to red and yellow
and our love matures to knowing and caring

And yes, I will love you in the Winter
when the snows of life settle in our hair
and turn it white.
And the cold of winter settles in our bones and makes us ache.

And should you leave me here alone,
I will love you still
Until we meet again in times unseen land above.
